Cheltenham and Local Areas Covered

Our aim is to commemorate those of Cheltenham and surrounding areas who gave their lives in the Great War.   We had to decide the limits of the "surrounding areas" and for this we looked at The Gloucestershire Town and Parish Map at the beginning of the 20th century.   We decided after much deliberation that the area should be the parishes of Cheltenham and those parishes immediately adjacent to the Cheltenham boundary.  The final area is listed below.
