Lieutenant Gerald Forman GROGAN, 183rd
Tunnelling Company Royal Engineers, is buried in Plot V, Row C, Grave 44.
He was killed in action near
Boesinghe on 8th January 1918, aged 33.
He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and on the Cheltenham College Roll of Honour. His parents, Brigadier General E G Grogan and Mrs Ida Mary Georgina Grogan, resided at Huntley Lodge, Montpellier Grove, Cheltenham and later at Torrevagh, St Andrews, Scotland. |

Sydney George VALLENDER, 15th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, is buried in
Plot I, Row D, Grave 16. He was killed in action near
Boezinghe on 17th April 1918, aged 29.
He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and on the St Paul's Church War Memorial. He left a widow Mrs Florence Vallender, who resided at 49 Marle Hill Parade, Cheltenham. |
