Hugh Duberley WILLIS, RAMC, Regimental Medical Officer of 3rd Battalion
Worcestershire Regiment, is buried in Plot Plot Vi, Row F, Grave 12.
He was wounded in action on 10th August 1917 on Westhoek Ridge, near Ypres, and died in a Casualty Clearing Station in Brandhoek on 12th August 1917. He was 34 years old. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial, the Cheltenham College Roll of Honour and on the Charlton Kings (St Mary's Church) War Memorial. He is also commemorated on the grave of his parents in St Mary's Churchyard, Charlton Kings. His parents, Horace and Emily Willis, resided at "The Glenfall", Ham Road, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham. |
