Pte William Matthias BROWN, 8th Battalion Gloucestershire
Regiment, is commemorated on the grave of his mother. He was killed in action on the Somme on 25th October
1916.

Pte Thomas Charles Cherrington, 55th
Bn Machine Gun Corps, is commemorated on the grave of his father.
He died of accidental wounds on 23rd November 1918 at the 39th Stationary Hospital, Lille.. He is buried in Lille Southern Cemetery, Plot I, Row C, Grave 24, France. Sgt Leslie Probyn DIGHTON, 2nd Canterbury Regiment, New
Zealand Expeditionary Force, is commemorated on the family grave. He was killed in action in the Messines Ridge

He was serving in Submarine E6 when it was lost with all hands on 26th December 1915 after striking a mine near the Sunk Light Vessel, off Harwich.
