Notes:

1.   GEORGE was accidentally shot and wounded by a British officer near Ferfay on 14th September 1915.

2.   NEEMS was wounded at Bois Carre on 25th September 1915.

3.   JONES was killed in a grenade training accident.

4.   CAWS was accidentally killed at Le Clipon Camp on 31st July 1917.

5.   STREET was killed in a training accident.

Battalion History

Formed as a Service battalion in September 1914 at Bristol as part of "K4".  Full Title - 10th (Service) Battalion.
Initially assigned to 26th Division for training whilst in the UK.   Arrived in France on 9th August 1915 and re-assigned to 1st Brigade, 1st Division.
Served in France and Flanders (Loos, Bethune, Somme, Dunkirk and Ypres).
Battalion was disbanded on 19th February 1918, personnel being transferred to 1st Battalion, 8th Battalion and 13th Entrenching Battalion.
Battle Honours - 8, earned at:   France and Flanders 1915 - 18, Loos, Somme 1916, Albert 1916, Bazentin, Pozieres, Flers Courcelette and Morval.
