1.   WORTHINGTON was wounded at Bihecourt on 7th April 1917.

2.   ARNOT is currently commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial but should properly be commemorated on Pozieres Memorial.

3.   BUGLER was wounded at Buverchy on 25th March 1918.

4.   EDMONDS was wounded at Bacquerolles Farm on 23rd April 1918.

5.   HOWELL was wounded near Holnon Wood and captured by the Germans on 22nd March 1918.

Battalion History

Formed as the Second Line of the 5th Battalion in September 1914 at Gloucester.   Full Title - 2/5th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment (Territorial Force)
Assigned to 184th Infantry Brigade, 61st (2nd South Midland) Division in January 1915.   Arrived in France in May 1916.   Served in France and Flanders.
Battle Honours, 13 earned at:   France and Flanders 1916 - 1918, Ypres 1917, Langemarck 1917, Somme 1918, Cambrai 1917, St Quentin, Rosieres, Avre, Lys, Hazebrouck, Bethune, Selle, Valenciennes
Battalion disbanded in Catterick in October 1919.
