Private Leslie Robert NEWCOMBE, 7th
Battalion Canadian Infantry, is buried in Plot II, Row A, Grave 52.
He died of illness at the 50th Casualty Clearing Station based near Huy on 7th March 1919 He is commemorated on the Charlton Kings War Memorial and on the Charlton Kings (St Mary's Church) War Memorial. His parents, Edward and Mary Jane Newcombe resided at Pike House, Battledown, Cheltenham. The inscription at the base of his headstone reads "Though Lost To Sight, To Memory Ever Dear".
