Private Charles Arthur COLES, 1/5th
Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, is buried in Plot I, Row F, Grave 8. He was wounded in action on 15th June 1918 and was killed by a shell whilst on his way for treatment at a Dressing Station. He was 24 years of age. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial, the St Paul's Church War Memorial, the St John's Church War Memorial, the Highbury Congregational Church Roll of Honour and on the Cheltenham Roll of Honour. He left a widow, Mrs Amelia Coles, who resided at "Thatch Cottage", 16 Duke Street, Cheltenham. His parents, Joseph Henry and Jane Amelia Coles, resided at 26 Granville Street, Cheltenham. The inscription at the foot of his headstone reads "Nobly he lived, nobly he died". |

Pte Albert Edward HARRISON, 1/6th
Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, is buried in Plot I, Row F, Grave 2. He was killed in action near Casa Magnaboschi on 16th June 1918, aged 20. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial. His father, Alfred Harrison, resided at 2 Havilah Cottages, Bamfurlong, near Cheltenham. |
