Inscriptions on this War Memorial:  Of this parish or closely connected therewith who fell in the Great War 1914 - 1919, this tablet is erected by the proud and ever grateful parishioners of Shurdington.   Thus these men died leaving their deaths for an example of noble courage unto all their nation (2Macc V1 31).  We Praise thee O God.   To the glorious memory of:
